Swimming an Itch was a two-person exhibition of new works by Matt Antoniak and Phil Frankland, exhibited at CONVENT Space for Contemporary Art, and additional locations around Ghent: KASK & Conservatorium / Het Paviljoen, 019 and Kioskiosk.

These site-specific interventions at offsite locations respond individually to the unique properties and public presence of each space. Het Paviljoen’s glass facade invites the public and students of KASK & Conservatorium to view the installation at all hours of the day. Similarly at 019, paintings are installed on the outside of the building – open to the elements, canal and passing cyclists. In the vitrines of Kioskiosk, the paintings occupy space in the pavilion tucked away amongst the trees of the Bloemekenspark, slowly being enveloped by nature.
